Who We Are

We are Arnoud and Gijs, two regular guys from Holland in their early twenties. Apart from some shared interests, we got one big love: FOOD! It all started when we sent each others pictures of all the great things that got lost in our stomach. Then the moment came when we realized this was too great to keep for ourselves. That’s why it felt like our duty to share it with you and the rest of the world.

Our philosophy for this blog is very simple: just share all of the good food that is around. And we do not discriminate any kind of food. Whether the food is homemade, bought at a take-away store or consumed in a restaurant, we try to share it with you guys.

Peace and enjoy!

    what is your favorite food?

    • dudewhatsmyfood February 18, 2012 at 12:35 #

Oh what a difficult question! For me personally I cannot give you a specific answer. But what I can say with certainty is that I really like meat and especially lamb meat. Lamb meat is definitely a personal favorite.

      • Sara T February 22, 2012 at 15:16 #

Thanks for stopping by my blog. Lamb is definately a favorite at our house, too. We make it a lot, which is pretty unusual for Americans (unless of course, it’s in a gyro… everybody loves gyros, but is afraid of a rack of lamb for some reason!!).

You have a great site here!

        Sara

      • dudewhatsmyfood March 22, 2012 at 23:25 #

No problem at all. I liked reading your post. A very good choice then I must say, since lamb is so delicious. A lamb gyro or a rack of lamb, there is always a right time for lamb! Glad to hear you like it too. I shall visit you blog again soon.

      • bhellabhello June 4, 2012 at 08:07 #

Absolutely, I will! Truthfully, I am going to live in Porto, Portugal, for 2 years. I wonder how many breathtaking places I have to visit in Europe later on. Especially, for my food journey XD

      • dudewhatsmyfood June 4, 2012 at 21:32 #

Wow, that sounds great. Haha yeah, there’s a lot to see, do and eat so I’m sure you can fill all of your days with something great. There is one thing that I would love to try sometime from the Portuguese cuisine and that is Francesinha, some kind of sandwich that sounds and looks delicious. Look it up;)

      • bhellabhello June 5, 2012 at 01:48 #

I have just googled it. It’s a Porto famous sandwich. I’m so eating it after I have arrived in Porto, haha. Thanks for the information!

Hi guys, what a great blog you have here! Love it! Fun, fun. Thanks for stopping by my site too, by the way. Love your country, would be my choice of living out of Canada! Oh I just can imagine how awsome would be cooking in a kitchen of one of these cool floating houses you have in Amsterdan!
Your sense of humor is a big inspiration. Cheers!

    • dudewhatsmyfood September 26, 2012 at 23:27 #

Thanks a lot! Haha you mean a “woonboot”. I also would like to have one, but they are quite expensive. One of the things I really want to eat is “poutine”, so I have to go to Canada one time. I know, “poutine” probably isn’t the most culinary that Canada has to offer foodwise, but still.. fries, cheese and gravy. It just sounds awful and fantastic at the same time.

  25. ChgoJohn September 27, 2012 at 08:48 #
